Long story. Due to the disaster in Cole Harbour in previous years,(very long story), this year the players that would normally play in CH were conveniently permitted to leave. Coincidentally it was the year Dartmouth are hosting Atlantics! HNS at its finest. Lol I'm surprised they haven't enabled a rule similar to what they established in PEI where players can't just load Kensington or Charlottetown depending on the year, and have to stay with their team they sign with first. That said, the players didn't solely flee to Dartmouth. Macs and Mustangs had some key players jump to them as well. The rule is working great on PEI. Something had to be done. Pretty sure that if an organization cuts a kid at any point they are eligible to sign with the other team.

PEI you have to go to your zone first, can go to the non-home zone when cut, have to play 2 years in the non-home zone if you make the team unless you get cut in year 2, and players can only AP in their home zone. Just makes players making a team have to stay. I remember when I was in U15 Major you'd get Halifax guys come up first year and take Northern NS and South Shore spots before going back to Halifax for Year 2. It's gotta be about equal opportunity for teams, creating a competitive environment, and giving players a chance to develop their best. Seeing how PEI finals is so tight now with this being the first year with all cohorts affected by the Zone, it has absolutely worked well for them. If there was a similar rule in NS, likely see same rule setup as PEI, Macs - Halifax, Chebucto, TASA (Wolverines + Gulls), AP Armada or Buccaneers (from Macs Region) Subaru - Dartmouth, Bedford, Lower Sackville (Bandits + Whalers), AP Voyageurs Wolfpack - Cole Harbour, East Hants, Eastern Shore (Rage + Rangers), AP Kings

I just noticed that the Macs and Islanders aren’t playing game 5 until Monday night? Sounds like Tim Boyce and the rest of his classless puppets are at it again. Hard to believe they couldn’t get icetime anywhere in HRM on Sunday? Yet another example of how the league and HNS let metro teams run the league. I wonder what time the 15 year olds will get home to Cheticamp? Disgraceful

Tim Boyce is currently serving a year suspension (I heard it’s a year, didn’t see anything official) for harassment of official or something along those lines.
Happened at the IceJam, after Halifax lost to the Valley in the semi-final. Something off the ice.

I watched this game online. Exciting! Too bad the officials ruined it! A ton of missed calls. Macs got away with murder. The same 4 Halifax officials did every game! Well done league. Incredible
