The outcome could just as easily been flipped to Edmundston. At times both goaltenders scrambled but the puck could not find the back of either net. Although the shots were relatively close the Wolves certainly had better chances and at times pinned the Blizzard deep in their zone. The Wolves 2nd and 3rd goals were started from transition deep in their own end. Wolves DMAN simply got the puck up ice and Wolves players took it through the neutral zone against soft resistance to score. Overall it seemed as if the Blizzard were disinterested. Their game lacked intensity and awareness at key times and this seemed to be reflected when Sheehan was not removed for the extra attacker. Whoever faces the Wolves in the final will need to bring their ‘A’ game and challenge the Wolves defence and goaltender more than the Blizzard did tonight.

Congratulations to the Timberwolves players and organization on making it to the MetalFab finals, and congratulations to the Blizzard on another great season in Edmundston.

What a game!! That was great hockey. Some great end to end rushes by both teams and have to say some of the better officiating I've seen in a long time. Maybe because league president was in the building but they let them play. And to finally see the Civic Centre packed like the 2017 playoffs was nice. Found it a little cheap and petty that the Blizzard coaching staff didn't stick around to shake hands at the end, but definitely wasn't the result they expected. Now the Wolves have a few days to rest some weary bodies and await the Southern winners in the MHL final...

Great on the Wolves, with the toughest road IMO, to knock off two teams that were nationally ranked throughout the season at times and to beat them decisively too.
The one thing I wasn’t a fan of, and again, my opinion, is the antics that Flanagan presents, I know he’s passionate and perhaps that is just how he is but before celebrating with his team he needs to skate away and signify “sweeping” on the ice. Again, not taking anything away from them but I just think there is a professionalism that goes along with it and in the playoffs, karma is a nasty thing at times.
Congratulations to the Miramichi Timberwolves and GM Ross Martin. Long time coming but they’re certainly built to win!
