2021 MHL First overall pick Ryan Hayes has committed to the Estevan Bruins of the SJHL. Was drafted by the Miramichi Timberwolves and played the last three seasons for Cape Breton West U 18 where he served as team captain. Yikes... a blemish on Miramichi's program no matter which way you look at it. Can't happen, IMO The “yikes” should be that he was ever picked 1st overall. He’ll be home by Christmas at the latest.

June 3, 2023 Edmundston trades Timothy St-Pierre and future considerations to Cote-du-Sud Everest for Jean-Christopher Coulombe. This is the younger brother(2005) of League MVP Oliver Coulombe. Oliver Coulombe’s Twin brother just finished 5 successful seasons as a netminder for the Shawington Cataractes. Many claim that the youngest of a hockey family is usually the best player to come from the bunch, so keep an eye on Jean-Christopher over the year couple seasons.
