IMO, when it comes to hockey, the Missiquash River is much deeper than it appears. The hockey organizations on both sides are not willing to easily concede any assets or territory.

I’ve deliberated more, I’ve changed my stance a bit. I can mutual benefit for both Amherst teams if this goes down.
For the Senior team, more fans is doable as I know there was lots of overlap from Rams and Miners fans having to decide which to go to, Miners get more sponsorship opportunities in Amherst, better for recruiting and for away team travel. Only thing Senior loses is being top tenant and losing Saturday Nights at home, but Fridays and Sundays would be good.
For the Rams, the fan split helps them with getting more Senior fans to watch them, they can hopefully go from 16 Saturday games up to at least 20, possibly allow for cross-promo between teams. Hypothetically we say Senior gets Friday’s and some Sundays, Rams get Saturdays and some Sundays with the odd weekday, that’s a solid split.
Still feel bad for Springhill being left in the cold but I can absolutely see how an Amherst team would work out. Only thing I’ll say on tickets is people managed to complain when the Rams upped tickets to $10 this year so maybe $20 a week to watch both teams might be a harder sell than appears. But we will see, I’m all on board.

When we talk about senior hockey to me it should be on Saturday and Sundays. Fridays would be tough for guys working. Especially for the visiting team coming in from northern New Brunswick . Even Springhill who had some guys from Halifax it may be tough for them to commit to Friday night games. Just my thoughts
