Thanks for all of this!!
Any chance that the Centennial Cup will be on FloHockey? Or is this going to be one of those $15 a game from HC?

Feels like it's been forever but the tournament finally gets underway today. I've watched 0 seconds of any junior A hockey this year but I will try my luck with some predictions.
Day 1 - May 9 Winkler (MJHL) vs Sioux Lookout (SIJHL) - Prediction: Winkler Collingwood (OJHL) vs Calgary (AJHL) - Prediction: Calgary Miramichi (MHL) vs Melfort (SJHL) - Prediction: Melfort
For Miramichi, the road to the quarter finals likely involves at least 6 points. I wouldn't count on being able to move on with 4 points like Yarmouth did last year. Getting a split in the first two days would be a great start to that. Oakville hasn't played since March 29 so hopefully if today goes sour, Miramichi can take advantage of the rust factor of Oakville tomorrow.
You can't overlook anyone at this tournament, but the game vs Sioux Lookout should result in 3 points in the bag. It is imperative not to have to need 3 points against Winkler in the final game of the group stage as that will probably be the toughest game of the 4.
Super excited to follow along. Go Wolves!

I'm going to predict the Timberwolves winning the Centennial Cup.
They beat West Kent and Edmundston handily, and then arguably played well enough to have beat Summerside in all six games in the final.
I don't think it was all luck and getting the bounces. Their D is big and mobile - and good to see Charlie Morrison become the only 2007 prospect in the final CSR Top 90 - coming in at number 77. He fit right in after being called up late in the season from Champions Hockey Academy.
I thought Summerside was good enough to win the Centennial Cup. If the Timberwolves could come together and find a way to win against that level of opponents - I think they can do it.
They'll need to get the bounces and the goaltending and stay out of the box - but just something about their blend as a team and having their best players being their best players in the biggest games.
In years past, the MHL didn't have the speed - but now they do.
GO TIMBERWOLVES GO!
