I’ll keep it short. Nothing quite like playoff hockey. Rams, leave nothing on the table, go shock the world.

Mr Fife has learned the game as a player with probably two of the best coaches ever in this league, Shawn Evans and the slammers coach Jason Tatarnic. Fife was an assistant under Tatarnic for 3 seasons so I am sure he was well suited for the Ran job. There were a lot of nay sayers and head shakers when he was announced as the coach and GM. My take was that with that experience and his drive when he played it was a good choice. this guy played to win when in this league and I think his team bought into his plan. The Rams have played whistle to whistle all season with no quit even when on the loosing end of games. It has been an amazing season watching them grow and always a TEAM effort. I think the doubters can breathe now... No pressure on the Rams at this point, that is squarely on the Caps. the Rams can just go there tonight and play loose and let it rip.

I gotta say that I was apprehensive when the Ramblers hired Phil - without a single game of experience as either a head coach - or as a GM. I thought they would go with experience given their financial options.
As of the past week, Phil has earned my respect and I'm now a firm believer in the hire. I think that's the way it should be with all fans - you come in and you earn it. Not at all trying to say that Phil Fife wants or needs my respect - just saying he's earned it.
That's pretty well the biggest compliment I could give anybody - they came in - turned it around on the ice and in the community - and that's how respect is earned. Very well done - win or lose.
The Western Capitals know they're in a series.
If the Ramblers can get out to a good start and go ahead by a couple of goals - I think everybody knows there could be a meltdown in a hurry.
The Ramblers gotta go out and look at it as getting the next goal - no matter what the score is. Go out and get the next goal. That's how you beat the Caps - take it to them - get somebody in behind their D which can be exposed as being a bit slow on foot speed. Their forwards are goal hungry and don't come back deep. Get in on Sim - get him off his feet - take away his eyes - and put it upstairs.
