The Caps bent but didn’t break… they actually played a complete 60 minutes but JPA is right, Drew Sim just doesn’t look right. He looks either sick/hurt but the Ramblers 2nd and 3rd goal were goals that goalies make saves on 90% of the time…. He’s just, off and has been really since he arrived in Summerside.. it was just really covered up because of the team he had infront of him so his stats were inflated and he is a big goalie. Perhaps the same in the WHL with Regina ??
None the less, in the playoffs, a win is a win.
Friday night in the jungle, can a road team win a game? If they do, then they will win the series, or does home ice advantage make the difference yet again? Time will tell.
Great win boys, rest up and eyes on Friday.
Go Caps Go!

Ramblers, you didn't lose this game from lack of trying. A great effort-however you win some and you lose some. Get rested up for tomorrow night!! GO RAMS GO...

I thought it was over at 3-0, and good on the Ramblers for making a game out of it.
I actually tuned out and didn't watch the rest of the game - thinking it would be another blowout. I was surprised to see a 4-3 final.
Should be a good Game 6 in Amherst on Friday night.
Hockey etiquette and tradition says that the losing team in a one goal game should get one of the 3 stars - but nobody cares about that stuff any more - especially the players. Forums like this one and social media are where the players get their personal accolades these days.
Paul Hughes always seems to play well when it counts the most - and Jaden Reyers of the Ramblers seems to come to play in the biggest games as well. Only David Doucet (9) has more playoff goals than Reyers (7) so far (Robbie Rutledge and Dominic Leblanc also have 7).
As O'Brien mentioned - good to see the officials let them play - while also maintaining control - and a lot of that is coaching as well. The games are too important to have guys out there looking to waste a minor in the O Zone to try to gain and edge on the physical side.

Anyone curious on the choice of Howatt to start Game 5, here’s a quote from Fife in the PEI paper.
“Both goalies are the reason we are here in this situation in the first place,” said Fife. “We wouldn’t have made the playoffs without both of them.
“Lyam has had a lot of shots the last couple of games (160 through the first four games), so he’ll go back in the net for Game 6 and Game 7 if we need him.”
Imagine this means Leblanc goes back for Game 6
