The stage has been set and these two powerhouses will battle it out to be crowned MHL Champions for the 2023-2024 season.
Both teams know eachother very well, having battled over the years in the same division, there’s been a built up “hatred” between the two teams and fanbases, that’s for sure!
This series features no shortage of storylines….
- Billy McGuigan’ former team he coached, very close with many in the community still and of course, the organization.
- Adam Rouleau and Justin David requesting a trade at the deadline this year to go to the Wolves…. I know that ruffled a LOT of feathers in the Caps dressing room and it has not been forgotten.
….. just to name a few.
Miramichi has loyal, diehard fans and so does Summerside. As there is lots of history and “hatred” built up, theirs is also a mutual respect between the organizations as well.
It’s also worth noting, both teams absolutely deserve to be here.
Both teams power plays are absolutely DEADLY so there is no question in my mind that the key to the series will be to STAY THE HECK OUT OF THE PENALTY BOX, for BOTH teams.
Summerside will host the all important, Game 1, which will be a large crowd at the Credit Union Place.
Will it be Adam Rouleau or Jack Flanagan in net? Flanagan has played well and is a big part of why they are where they are during this run they’re on and perhaps Rouleau is done for the year due to injury? Itll be interesting to see.
Caps. Wolves. MHL FINALS. Credit Union Place. April 20th. 7PM. BE THERE!
Go Caps Go!

Talk around of Caps big fight to delay game 1 due to Vos hand injury that happened last game when he had to leave… just reviewed and looked bad… no glove on and went right to room… this should be a big NoNo

No not really thinking it. But possibility from what I’ve read about the Cap Crew on here… as I don’t know any of them. Maybe ask the caps why? I do know they pushed really hard to delay till Saturday…pushing for an 8day lay over has to have some reason behind it

I know when both teams for any series submit their request for scheduling, there is always compromise on both sides... I am assuming that both teams wanted a weekend home gate to draw as big a crowd as possible, this allows that to happen. (I notice both teams have a Saturday night game). But also could it be that Miramichi was pushing for it to ensure getting Badcock back in the lineup as hes banged up and didnt dress in Game 4 against Edmunston? Lol I am not sure why there would be any pushback from the Wolves or their fans.... the longer layoff benefits them too
