The Allan Cup got underway on Sunday in Hamilton. The host Dundas Real McCoys defeated the Atlantic representatives Southern Shore Breakers of Newfoundland and Labrador 3-2. The Ontario representatives Stoney Creek Tigers hung on to beat the Western representatives, Innisfail Eagles of Alberta, 5-4. Tonight, the host McCoys take on the Eagles at 8 p.m. Atlantic. The Breakers picked up a big 4-2 win over the Stony Creek Tigers on Tuesday night. AJ Whiffen made 37 saves for the win. Former MHLers, Andrew Brennan (Amherst),\ and Kevin Reid (Woodstock and Yarmouth) had assists for the Breakers. The Breakers are back in action today against the Innisfail Eagles at 4:30 pm. Atlantic. Southern Shore defeated Innisfail 2-0 in their final round robin game on Wednesday night.
Kevin Reid led Southern Shore with a goal and one assist. Andrew Paul had the other goal.
AJ Whiffen picked up the shutout.
The win, combined with Dundas 3-2 overtime win against Stoney Creek means that Southern Shore finishes in second place in the round robin and will face Stoney Creek in Friday's semifinal at 8:30 p.m. Atlantic time.
Dundas gets a bye to Saturday's final after finishing 3-0. Innisfail finished 0-3.

The Breakers punched their ticket to the Allan Cup finals with a 4-1 win over the Tigers on Friday night.
The Breakers will face Dundad in the finals and that gets underway at 4 p.m Atlantic time today.

Dundas Real McCoys defeated the Southern Shore Breakers 6-1 in the Allan Cup Finals on Saturday afternoon, becoming the first team since the 95 and 96 Warroad Lakers to win back to back Allan Cups.
Cam Fergus, MacKenzie Wood, Igor Gongalsky, Nathan Longpre, Jake Goldberg and Slater Doggett all scored for Dundas.
Ryan Demelo made 33 saves.
Ryan Dawson scored the lone goal for the Breakers.
A.J. Whifffen 35 saves in the loss.
The Innisfail Eagles are hosting the 2025 tournament.
