I'd love to hear the player's / team's side of the story. What in the world could a player possibly SAY to get 12 games? It was only a couple of years ago (2020) when we saw a Summerside Western Capitals' player actually haul off and punch an official on a video that remains here on the board in our archives. What punishment did he (Thususka) receive? How about 3 games for a match for spearing an opponent - and a further 7 games for actually striking an official. People think I hate Summerside and that I have it out for the Caps - but I don't. I just hate the endless special treatment and the two sets of rules. I'm all about fairness for the rest of the league's players. That's all. That's where it begins - and ends. What did Dylan Chisholm say - because on the vid - the official is fully in control - not bleeding - not laying on the ice - clearly it must be a verbal infraction. Why do our league governors put up with the blatant homerism with a league disciplinarian? This guy has proven himself over and over and over of being unable (and unwilling) to act in a fair and reasonable manner. All it is - is leniency to the Caps to the point of going back into the game summaries retroactively to change the Caps' offenses to penalties that don't carry suspensions - and throw the book at everybody else.

I wish that with suspensions the league adopted the NHL method in which they have a statement (vague if it must) on what occurred and where the game totals became what they are. Chisholm must have uttered a threat of some sort because to get 12 games, you're right, I saw the video, I just am confused at this length of suspension.
