Yes I see on the Blues Facebook page that they had won two games at the beginning of the season, both against Eskasoni. Im not sure for certain on how the decisions were made in regards to their record and allocation of points for teams. It seems as if they reversed those wins for the Blues and awarded them to the Eagles afterwards. I believe that shortly after the Blues announcement to cease operations there was an emergency meeting with a representative of each time in the league to discuss how to move forward. The alternative to awarding teams points would have been to add games to teams’ schedules to make up for games against the Blues I think. IMO, the decision that was made was the one that would have caused the least amount of headaches. Thanks. I was wondering if maybe the wins being overturned might have something to do with an ineligible player or maybe had something to do with the team packing it in for the season? I've never seen wins overturned before without cause. I'm sure they have their reasons - but I could never figure out an explanation for it? Not meaning to call anybody out over it - just curious why?

It's a tough league, the league president tries his best but the constitution really has his hands tied.

I believe it was to do with the team folding. Tough situation leading to decisions having to be made. I would have liked to see some sort of recognition that they had won those two games, myself. Especially since we beat them with 11 and 13 skaters lol. It's a tough league, the league president tries his best but the constitution really has his hands tied. It has a feeling that the decision to overturn the wins was a knee-jerk form of spite or punishment for the Blues taking a leave in mid-season. I can understand that, but I always thought that the only way a game outcome could ever be overturned was by the use of an ineligible player. I must have been wrong with that. There must be different rules for a team ceasing operations for the season. I just never saw it before. Whatever a league rules - it's official - and that's how I put it in my own (unofficial) NSJHL records I keep here on the board. The only time I went any differently was when they went to the 3 points for a win system. All it did was complicate the standings - but never made a difference in the final standings. I just stayed with the conventional standings. Thanks to whoever made the decision to revert to the traditional way. Good to see some NSJHL coverage and discussion.
