Relax, its an emotional game, no one is hurt and it adds excitement to game. An emotional game or not THAT does not belong in hockey what so ever, make that hit on a goaltender 10 years ago and the refs would have had to turn the lights out to clear the ice of the line and or bench brawl that would have ensued, the fact that not a single fight occurred on this play actually disappoints me and scares me for what kind of bullshit we’re in store for, players need to be able to police themselves on the ice, and if the Karens have taken fighting out of our game, I’m scared so what the fish bowl and cages are going to get away with in the future.

Duquette knew exactly what he was doing when the puck got dumped in. Absolutely no need for it. A bush move that will likely see him suspended for the rest of the series. The linesman should've let McNeil keep feeding Duquette punches after that one.

A bench brawl would have been warranted. Can’t remember the last time we seen a good bench clearing. On the video that is shared around social you can see #20 immediately start feeding the player until two refs are top of them. That being said this deep into the playoffs you have to give coach baker and his crew a bit of credit for discipline as 2nd fight same stoppage and whatever else would result itself in suspensions.

Agreed. In today's game, it's all about discipline and control. It seems like every time the Caps lose, there is some kind of a meltdown, and now, finally, the league's Director of Discipline can no longer offer protection and simply go in and doctor the game sheets to avoid suspensions. I was going to say a lot more the next time I saw something like this - but Billy and I go too far back. It's an emotional game out there - and it's hard to change for some of us. I'm guessing that win or lose, this could be Billy's last run as an MHL head coach. A team is an extension of their coach - and nobody is looking for that kind of coach any more - from minor hockey to Pro. That's just my opinion - and I've always liked Billy. In no way am I trying to have Billy removed as Caps' coach. He does a great job there - but he's likely running out of options elsewhere. Every time he applies for another job - I think everybody knows that those red flags will immediately jump out.

Ive seen dozens of times this year he will be leading by 6-7 goals late in games, and will send his top guys out there on a powerplay, or he will call a timeout, or he will call the refs over with a minute left, up by a half dozen , to complain about a call, just to be a dick. And his staff is no better. the assistant on the forward side of the bench taunts opposing players and staff every game. Just a bad look for the league. Billy Mcguigan is overrated. And i stand by that.
