Congrats to Mirimichi. Very well deserved. I guess money doesn’t buy championships after all! Miramichi definitely deserved to win this series and had the most impressive run and story that I can remember in 20 years I’ve followed the league but don’t kid yourself, they opened up the chequebook this year, don’t fool yourself. Enjoy the moment, Wolves fans! They definitely didn’t pay what Summerside did. Mirimichi likely did what 80% of the league did, and spent a few bucks yes,but Summerside went far over the line, and it’s not even close. 3 players brought in from WHL/OHL. What they did to get them here is nothing compared to what Mirimichi did to get Doucet there.

I would be SHOCKED if Jack Flanigan doesn’t get Playoff MVP.
He certainly has my vote!

Wow, what a night, what a season, after the 2nd period many fans had memories of 2017 game 7 against Truro, but Miramichi came out in the 3rd and got a couple of good bounces and plays in front of the net that swung the momentum. I know Jamie and Hoppy will be sharing a few together with huge smiles. After the comments from the West Kent GM the wolves had a mission and after losing the first game rattled off 4 wins to end the Steamers season, only to face the Edmundston Blizzard and if anyone would have told me they would sweep them I would have laughed. Then we faced the perennial powerhouse and nationally ranked Capitals. And after taking one on the island they battled and the Caps weren't going away, forcing overtime twice, the only games they won in the series. To go undefeated in regulation in every game except one is quite an accomplishment. Tonight I go to bed a happy and proud Miramichi Timberwolves Fan!!
